In Memory Of Jorge Alberto Recinos, 09/12/1987 – 05/04/2015
There’s a lot of things I don’t know how to deal with, expected or not- its always rough losing someone close to you. I personally didn’t have the privilege of meeting Jorge, but as a fellow automotive enthusiast we would have at least shared that common ground, and that interest alone sometimes can create a much stronger bond between people then some will ever know. However this is the one thing that seems to be fading from the car scene as a whole- too many people are dividing into sub groups of trends that they forget we’re all behind the wheel of driving what we love- but now is not the time nor place to debate or share my views on this as I have in the past. The Status CC McAllen Chapter came together and held a benefit gathering this past Saturday taking donations to assist the family with Jorge’s passing, and from what I hear close to $400 was raised. We here at Gear-Trends would like to send our condolences to the Family, those who knew Jorge, and all those mourning his passing. As hard as it can be when a time like this happens, those still here can rest easy knowing that he is in a far better place- and as someone who had a passion for this automotive culture I’d like to think this includes a place where the roads seem to have no end, where driving with the windows down is far better than having a/c, where you don’t have to wait for car parts to be delivered, and you are greeted by the rest of the gear-heads up there.
