I don’t think I’ve ever touched on this subject which seems to be kind of a big thing to some in the automotive community. It’s not necessarily a bad thing to be dedicated to a certain type of car manufacturer – and it’s not just a car guy thing too, I know a lot of people that will only listen to a certain genre of music specifically – but I digress. What is this deep rooted allegiance we build up towards a certain type of car, whether it be WAY more specific to even the car model – did it stem from a early car related memory? Possibly could have been the first car that turned us into “car guys”. Whatever it may be, this is something I’ve always wanted to dive into and talk to people about – and I’m starting to think this could be a nice little thing to explore on upcoming features.

This always happens to me- I setup a feature shoot, take the photos, edit those photos the following day which is also usually the same week I’d like the article to go live. Taking the photos is always fun, especially when the owner and everyone else involved in the shoot all click well together and we just talk about whatever might be going on that week…hangovers, car scenes, and back to hangovers. Then comes the editing, which can be a very time consuming process but lately its been therapeutic in a way- I’ll open up Lightroom and Photoshop, put on my headphones, and spend hours on end choosing the best shots, figuring out color tones, then getting to work. So why am I barely writing this at 4am, just 7 hours away from this feature going live?

I was going to come up with some modernized version of “Twas The Night Before Christmas” with some kind underlining car theme, maybe be a bit cheesy and drop in a few Christmas Carol lines here and there throughout the article, but I’m basically a Scrooge/Grinch combo- although I don’t ruin the holiday for others, so there will be no more mentioning of any Christmas related things from here on out, Bah Humbug!
Except the title of the feature because who doesn’t like the movie “Elf”?!
