The day before the article is scheduled to go up and here I am jamming to some Hans Zimmer (Intersteller OST), a scratch notepad with random jotted down thoughts, and the second monitor full of photos of the feature car. I mean, I can’t break tradition at this point right? Some of my “best” work happens when I procrastinate and stay up late and pay for it in the morning. I dabble in sarcasm if you havent picked this up yet. When catching up with Hector, I realized it can be a little crazy when you’re able to measure how long you’ve known someone by going over the car’s theyve owned over the years. It’s never “Oh man, I’ve known this guy since what…2010?”, but more of a “Oh yeah you had the E46 Sedan, then this other car, then an M3 for a while…”. Car people, am I right?

Black Diamond AutoWerkz – Cars, Coffee, & Donuts

I told myself I would start going to more local meets now that I’m keeping the site more active. It’s funny, years ago I’d groan at the though of waking up at 7 AM for anything other than work – but these days the early morning meet ups are more of my speed. Sure the humidity hits you like you’re walking in soup, even that early, but what a better way to start the day than with a iced coffee (still not a fan of hot coffee) – and to be around some amazing cars from here in town.

When it comes to American Muscle Cars, you have your 3 big names: GM, Dodge, and Ford. Then you can break it down to the variety of models made by each: The Camaro, Trans-Am, Charger, ‘Cuda, and then you have the Mustang. From person to person you’ll find differences in where these names rank on a list. I’m not sure when it happened, or why, but before John was enjoying a “casual” drive in one at an airport runway, before Sean was dropping an RB motor in one, before Memphis was boosting one, the Mustang was always my go-to choice for the best muscle car.

(Bonus points if you can name the movies.)
